Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 3, 2026
HeyBday (“HeyBday,” “we,” “us”) is operated by Jonathan Buchanan (sole proprietor). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use HeyBday and our SMS reminder service.
Information we collect
- Your phone number, which you provide when you sign up.
- The names, birthdays, and (optionally) phone numbers of the people you choose to be reminded about — which you add yourself.
- Basic usage information needed to operate the service.
How we use your information
We use your phone number to send you the birthday reminder text messages you signed up for. We use the birthdays you add solely to remind you and to help you send a message to that person. We do not use your information for advertising.
SMS / mobile information
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive recurring automated birthday reminder text messages from HeyBday. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or your SMS opt-in/consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the service (for example, our SMS delivery provider, Twilio), and only as needed to deliver it. We may disclose information if required by law. We never sell your data.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by contacting us; replying STOP stops all messages.
Children
HeyBday is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
